A moment of madness that had a near certain probability of a crash and deaths had he completed his crazy move in the cockpit. Actions like this from someone who was industry trained, well I think he should have received the maximum sentence.

    2. That dude is a fucking psycho! He needs to be put away for a long time. Judge really dropped the ball here

I’ve taken mushrooms loads of time and have never had effects last more than 20 hours.

    4. It’s practically legal to be a criminal now as long as you have power or money or friends in high places 🤷🏼‍♀️

    5. Did they put him on the no-fly list? He should be. Who’s to say he won’t take mushrooms again?

    6. Misinformation.

He is not released without prison time. He was already in prison for a while and his sentence was covered by the time he was held.

    7. This was a tragic story that I have followed since the beginning. I’m glad to hear it is over finally for this ex-pilot and his family.Mentor-pilot on YouTube does a piece on this if anyone is interested in the incident, and brings what occurred into perspective. It made me cry because it is truly a tragic story.

    8. I guess trying to force your way into a cockpit in order to crash a passenger jet and kill everyone on board is no big deal if you’re a white guy. If his name was Omar or Mohammad, he’d be in jail for the rest of his life.

    9.  A decision based on the needs of the individual combined with punishment that fits the overall outcome. Good decision

    10. And this is what most people that’s not white and even a few that are would call white privilege

    11. Yea let’s blame mushrooms. JFC this man should be tried for attempted murder and not be seen as a victim to psilocybin. What a disgrace our news media has become.

    12. >I just hope people realize that it’s not necessarily the mistake itself but how you respond to it

Hmmm. In this case I think it really is the ‘mistake’ itself.

    13. Anyone down playing the effects of psilocybin really don’t understand the possibilities. One summer I ate them for two months almost everyday and I legit only need a speckle of a mushroom to be on a bad trip for 10 hours now.
