A moment of madness that had a near certain probability of a crash and deaths had he completed his crazy move in the cockpit. Actions like this from someone who was industry trained, well I think he should have received the maximum sentence.

That’s insane… it’s essentially like attempted murder of every person on board.

Misinformation.
He is not released without prison time. He was already in prison for a while and his sentence was covered by the time he was held.

This was a tragic story that I have followed since the beginning. I’m glad to hear it is over finally for this ex-pilot and his family.Mentor-pilot on YouTube does a piece on this if anyone is interested in the incident, and brings what occurred into perspective. It made me cry because it is truly a tragic story.

I guess trying to force your way into a cockpit in order to crash a passenger jet and kill everyone on board is no big deal if you’re a white guy. If his name was Omar or Mohammad, he’d be in jail for the rest of his life.

A decision based on the needs of the individual combined with punishment that fits the overall outcome. Good decision

Yea let’s blame mushrooms. JFC this man should be tried for attempted murder and not be seen as a victim to psilocybin. What a disgrace our news media has become.

Hmmm. In this case I think it really is the ‘mistake’ itself.

Anyone down playing the effects of psilocybin really don’t understand the possibilities. One summer I ate them for two months almost everyday and I legit only need a speckle of a mushroom to be on a bad trip for 10 hours now.
