Wow. I can’t believe how bigoted this is.
Would you call someone a slur? Because that’s what you’re doing here, when you use this terminology.
The rich earned their keep. If it weren’t for them, the economy wouldn’t be afloat. There wouldn’t be any jobs, which we all need in order to pay our bills. Do you want everyone to be poor? Do you want to condemn yourself and your family and neighbors to a life of poverty? Of course not.
So, remember to open your hearts, and remember to free yourselves of envy. That’s what’s really going on here, you are so green with envy that you can’t even see straight. You see the hard-earned money that someone else got, and you say “Hey! That’s not fair! I need my cut!” Just like a mafia don, demanding protection money.
“This is the price of participating in society!” you say. But, I think it is plainly evident if you just look, that you can see that the rich have more than earned their keep.
Maybe if you worked hard enough, maybe if you sacrificed enough, then you could afford to have the same luxuries you so envy.
You just have to pull yourself up by your bootstraps. That’s what all these rich guys did. This is the Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave – and if they can do it, anyone can do it.

    2. Wealth of Elon musk 2026:$833 billion.

Guy doged and crimed his way to 4x his already obscene net worth in 2 years.

    3. New-Source5884 on

Since this was originally posted, Musk’s net worth has skyrocketed past $800B while Bezos & Zuckerberg have each past $200B. These are terrifying levels of wealth. Laws and societal norms literally do not apply to them.

    4. Ive added 2 zeros to my net worth in the last 10 years too… never did get rid of that negative tho

    5. Tax the rich and then stop buying their trash.

That would be great. We just stop buying the new phone every year (I still have a Galaxy S9) We stop buying overpriced, cheap goods designed to wear out, irreparably, after 6 months. We stop being a society of consumers, we stop buying no-longer-cheap fast food, Starbucks, energy drinks and all the other poisons. We prove that we don’t need them.

      That would be great

    6. The people that care about minimum wage don’t show up to vote.

I mean that’s the sad reality of our situation people want a better life but they don’t give a shit on election day.

I mean Republicans have held the supreme Court since the 1960s and it’s very telling that the 2012 numbers listed here because that was the last time Democrats had a majority large enough to write law.

we got the ACA passed we got banking regulation passed we got tax increase on their Rich passed and we started to move the minimum wage.

The American voters only gave us 18 months and then decided that Republican should have majorities again.

The next time some terminally online leftist is telling you about how it’s your moral obligation not choose the lesser of two evils as if that is a fucking option in a first pass the post democracy remember that progress doesn’t happen in one election and neither did our descent

I wonder what they’ll do when the economy crashes and people can’t buy their shit anymore? These dorks don’t have a money bin of cash.

    8. Survive1014 on

And not just tax. We need to claw back their wealth, their excess properties and even limit their stock ownership. Its time to treat Billionaires like the threat to humanity they are.

No one, I repeat, no single person needs multiple yachts or vacation homes. Not a single person.

    9. Sad_Intention2932 on

Surely if we continue not taxing Elon some of that 202 billion he accumulated while 100xing his own already insane wealth will trickle down, right?

    10. Cap wealth, period. No one needs that much money. There has to be a limit for anyone’s wealth amount. After that, all subsequent wealth gain should all revert to the country.

When someone “makes” close to 200 billion dollars in 12 years, you ought to ask if the banks and system is what you really want working for you.

      There’s 60 seconds in a minute. (60×1)
      Thats theres 60 minutes in a hour, 3,600 secs. in a hour.(60×60)
Theres 24hours in a day. Thats 86,400 secs in a day.
365 days in a year. Thats 31,536,000 secs in a year.
      In 10 years thats 315, 360,000 secs.
      In 100 years thats 3,153,600,000

What does this math mean? If you got paid a dollar every second of a 100 year life span. You still wouldn’t be as rich as these guys.

A billion alone is illogical and I can’t even begin to wrap my head around how much that is or what anyone could/would do with that much money other than whatever they wanted to. Anything over 1 billion should go back into the system. These guys are ruining everything. This is why we can’t have nice things. Tax the fuck out of them. Bezos and musk could easily improve the lives of every American citizen overnight but they won’t. They can’t think of the welfare of anyone other than themselves. We are the NPCs.

    14. ApoplecticAndroid on

At least the robber barons at the turn of the 1900’s built things like libraries, concert halls and the like. These mf’ers just build bunkers in anticipation of societal collapse

    15. You know who isn’t building roads, paying our first responders, and paying our military?

      These guys.

    16. It doesn’t even have to be a tax, man…

If you’re net worth is over 500 million, you’re fined for the difference. You’re not allowed to own that much wealth. Period.

    17. Uknown_Idea on

No keep pushing. I wanna see what happens when we get past the “Tax them” Rhetoric. For science.

    18. gordohimself on

Or let’s make a new monetary system where everyone is paid the same income and our work is only that which we are motivated to do by necessity or creativity.

Essentially, make those big numbers meaningless. We don’t pay to incarnate. The bargain is a joke. I’m glad the energy supporting it is going away soon, bring on the cross of the sleeping phoenix.

    19. JeffreyFusRohDahmer on

I can think of three words ending in “-the rich,” but that first one isn’t “tax”
