    1. This is how our juice and iceys were packaged in elementary school. Pretty cool tbh

    2. I’ve been served water like this on Turkish Airlines, and this also seems like some Turkey brand too? Yeah if I zoom in the language is definitely Turkish and there’s their tourist symbol at the bottom

Yeah it’s very funny, feels like a single-use cup. Wonder if these are easy to recycle, too

Very typical in places like Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and others in the Middle East

    4. Maybe it’s actually not as bad as it looks, but it seems very wasteful to me – all that plastic for what? Half of a cup of water?

    5. They used to serve these on flights. They’re easier to store than bottles because of the shape

    6. Yeah these are super common on a bunch of airlines now. They always feel like a weird hybrid between a yogurt cup and a Capri Sun.

I also always wonder if they actually get recycled or if they just yeet the whole trash bag into one bin at the airport đź’€

Yes, it’s a Turkish brand you showed, and serving water like this is very common in Turkey.

Think about it, when water is offered on an intercity bus or plane, they either have to give you a half-liter bottle, which is too much water to drink during the journey, or they give you a glass of water in a cardboard cup, which I don’t think is very hygienic. This is the most effective method.

They even distribute this at charity events or funerals sometimes.
Normally, when we’re thirsty, we take a half-liter bottle of water; we don’t buy water like this from the market in daily life.
