That’s what community should be: people working together for those in need
## The Farmer
>The farmer was Randy Fyllesvold, a 43-year-old from the small farming community of Antler, North Dakota. On September 9, 2025, Randy tragically lost his life in a vehicle collision at a rural intersection involving his pickup truck and a massive agricultural sprayer. He left behind his wife, Kharra, and their two young sons.
## The community’s help
>Harvesting 1,400 acres (over two square miles of crops) normally takes a single farming family weeks of grueling, dawn-to-dusk labor.
>Two friends made a call for help and within days, people showed up from multiple towns.
>The volunteer fleet of roughly 75 farmers brought together 12 heavy-duty combines, grain carts, and over 40 semi-trucks. By dividing and conquering the complex logistics of moving that much grain, they completely cleared the fields in just a few days.
## The impact Randy had on his community
>Randy wasn’t just a dedicated farme, he was highly skilled at his craft. In 2023, he won the regional Hefty Seed Company’s Yield Contest for his canola crop. True to his nature, **he used his participation in the contest to help direct thousands of dollars in donations to local charities, including his area fire department.**
>The overwhelming response to his passing wasn’t a coincidence. Randy was a pillar of his rural community.
>He served on the Antler Fire Department, the Mouse River Soil Conservation board, was a township supervisor, and even drove the local school bus. He was also a former stock car racer, which is actually how he met his wife, Kharra, at the local dirt track.

Las Vegas, nice.
75 local farmers were being awfully nice to the wife. What a great community
This is the America we were promised
because thats what people do.
When someone asks for help, you help them. When someone NEEDS help, you help them.
Society has strayed away from this concept for far too long.
God bless farmers, I want to be one 😮💨
