Next time a trump apologist tries to deny the racist motivations of his supporters, show them this.
Theres statistical evidence that trump supporters are less likely to support social programs and more likely to blame recipients of those benefits when description of those programs and benefits are simply placed next to a picture of a black person.
[Among citizens with favorable views of Donald Trump, black racial cues increased opposition to mortgage assistance, anger at such assistance, and the tendency to blame policy targets for their own plight.](https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/2053168017737411)

Trump spread the lie that Haitian-Americans were eating cats and dogs and his base enthusiastically supported him because of that. Of course this was about racism

it is actually exhausting how many times history has repeated this exact same script tbh. they really just could not stand seeing us thrive and mind our own business.

The craziest part is how they will completely erase these events from the school history books and then turn around and ask why generational wealth is so hard to build. it’s literally all by design dude.

This is why so few of them complain let alone acknowledge his failures, they’re happy to endure it if it means they can have a racist America and if the money runs low they think invading other brown nations will enrich *them*

He represents white excellence.
A rich white moron with no employable skills who helps prop up his corrupt buddies.
If his family didn’t gift him money, he’d be homeless or dead due to sheer incompetence.
Sounds like a description of a plantation owner. No surprise at all.

Putting aside the super wealthy and powerful, there were only 2 reasons to vote for Trump. Bigotry and/or stupidity. I’m willing to believe the “I don’t like what he says but….” people, but the best case scenario if you voted for him despite the fact that he was openly every -ist and -phobic (and one very bad -philic) is that you are stupid about how anything in government works and your opinion on anything around that shouldn’t be taken seriously
