À lot of people don’t understand that the Beslan terract was organised not by some broken teenagers, but by true soldiers which were heavily armed, trained, and they had battle expérience. I don’t support death of hostages, but it is not as simple as «Ha-ha, Putin kills civilian Russians with tanks»

They say that CS:GO was invented to teach russians that rescuing hostages is the point.

You all know the truism about Russia: And then it got worse!
Almost everyone born under Russian rule should get our pity.

Shit, Russia, there’s been this wonderful invention called proportionate response! Can I get you some?

Can’t have hostages if there aren’t any hostages

What many people don’t know, the russians did try negotiate, and infact, thanks to two people (one is a doctor, and one is one of the hostages) they suceeeded in evacuating mothers with newborn children and some kids. However, the main problem was that the terrorists decided to organize hunger strike, making it harder to negotiate with someone on brink of insanity

Thank god being a hostage in the USofA is the easiest job ever

“We have to stop these terrorists”, he says, as he fires another rocket into the school building.

Beslan is like the one single thing I’m willing to excuse Russians on, because while the tactics were heavy handed (which is putting it very generously), realistically there wasn’t a course of action that would not end with the vast majority of hostages dead
Just an extremely fucked up situation all around.

A comment I left under one of YT videos covering either Beslan or Dubrovka attacks:
>Russia – the only country in the world, where people fear getting taken hostage LESS, than being rescued.
Ohhh maaan, that really riled up all the Russian trolls and/or useful idiots.

russia be like
– They have hostages, kill them!
– Terrorists? Or hostages?
– YES!
“Wow I can’t believe the FBI and ATF brought tanks just to take down some cultists”
Meanwhile in Russia:
Is being a hostage NOT a tough job anywhere?
If I remember correctly, the Russians also gassed the attendance in a cinema or opera house in Moscow. Overdose of anesthesia.
Firing incendiary rockets to a school building full of kids and held by terrorist seems not a good idea.
In Putin Russia the state kill you before the terrorist
Hostage rescue operation? Nope. Target practice? oh yeaahhhh
