Yeah, so Gaddafi kinda flip-flopped ideologically throughout his time as Libya’s ruler
– from 1973-1977, Gaddafi gradually abandoned Nasserism in favour of his own ideology, third international theory, after he had a falling-out with Egypt during their normalisation with Israel and the west
– after 1999 he abandoned pan-Arabism for pan-Africanism after the former lost traction
– after 9/11 he started normalising with the west himself despite his previously anti-imperialist stance
