    1. Born in the late 1890’s was too young for WWI and too old for WWII, with a colorful history. He was a cowboy on the XIT and 6666 ranches, a prison guard in Huntsville while Clyde Barrow was there, and was working the docks as security when the fertilizer ship blew up in Galveston and got out without a scratch. He had a long career in law enforcement in the Houston area.
