Every semester on the last day of class he’d bring the yearbook he signed and tell us stories like how they used to go sledding in the winter “Jeffrey behind me with his legs wrapped around me as we went speeding down the hills.” I guess better his friend than his enemy lol..

(I couldn’t decide whether to post this or not but.. I guess it’s public record, and he’s never really been shy about it. So for those doubting the story or skeptical because of the difference in the signature [https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-akron-beacon-journal/97111502/](https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-akron-beacon-journal/97111502/))

That bit about not being discovered as a commie is such a weirdly specific thing to write in a yearbook.

How did your professor feel about this? I would imagine if one of my childhood friends turned out to be a serial killer it would be challenging to come to terms with. Did he speak about that aspect at all?

That’s one of those fun facts that immediately becomes deeply unfun

I’m a little disturbed that my hand writing looks very similar to Jeffrey Dahmer 😭

    6. As we all have done at some point, look up famous people that share your birthday, I discovered long ago that he and I share a birthday lmao

Once as a kid we had a special guest come in to give a speech to the whole school about business and farming. It was a rural school so like a bunch of kids would go into agriculture, so it made sense. The guest speaker was the co-owner of a very successful pig farm, David Pickton. Brother to Robert Pickton, who about three years after the speech was discovered to have been one of the worst serial killers in Canada who had killed at the very least 33 people but lots of bodies were fed to pigs after being put through a wood chipper so we actually have no idea how many victims were involved. David Pickton was alleged to have disposed of the bodies, as the murders were shockingly blatant, and during court proceedings a shitload of his DNA and fingerprints were found on the clothes and belongings of the deceased. Dude didn’t do any jail time, probably totally unrelated but two of his best friends were literally the Mayor of Vancouver and the chief of police for the VPD. Probably has nothing to do with the fact that even though there was a shitload of evidence that he helped his serial killer brother hide bodies he was never convicted and never saw a day in prison, didn’t even have any of his assets siezed. Weirdly the court didn’t even take their wood chipper despite it being used for body disposal for like a decade. Anyways that dude gave a speech to our school, about pig farming, the pig farm where he fed human corpses to his animals as proven in the court of law.

It would be interesting to know what a handwriting analysis says about him from this letter.

Odd that the small letters do not match the large letters. A different writer? ✍️ 🤔

    10. This looks like a kids note that someone just took and wrote Jeffy D’s name at the bottom

    11. DrumpfTinyHands on

Ah, so your professor hung around a kid that would murder neighborhood pets?

Do you not see the red flag in that? Maybe they shouldn’t be your ‘favorite’ professor for your own sake…

    12. gamerdudeNYC on

Well maybe if he would’ve been a better friend all that unfortunate stuff would not have happened

    13. LowerSeat2712 on

Everything about this looks off. It looks like a six year old writing with a completely different adult’s writing for a signature in a different color ink. Also Jeff Dahmer crossed his J in his signature…

    14. I was in a psych ward with a girl who worked at hotel. One of her coworkers was one of dahmers first boyfriends. She had pictures. Old Polaroid type ones and then some copies. It was seriously him.

there’s a graphic novel called *My Friend Dahmer* by Derf Backderf that is by another of his childhood friends. bizarre and intriguing stuff. may be able to corroborate some of your profs stories

    16. My friend and I jokingly sent a letter and $2 to OJ Simpson right after he was arrested. We told him to use it for his defense fund. Surprised me he wrote us back on yellow paper, sent back $2 and told us to put it towards our college tuition. My friend and I couldn’t decide who got to keep it; so we bet on the World Cup final and I lost. 😢

Fast forward to 2023 and OJ blocked me on Twitter.

Why could he sign his name decent but the rest looks like it was written using his feet

    18. Accomplished_Pop2976 on

The name was very obviously written by someone else. On top of that, the ink is blue and the rest is black. If lighting is a factor, fine, but the name wouldn’t be bluer than the rest if the same pen was used.

My dad ran a screen printing/packaging warehouse in Milwaukee at 47th and State (it has since been torn down and they moved to Richfield) that I worked at in the summers from 1998 to 2003. They had a frame in the main shipping office with a bill of lading for a dozen plastic 55 gallon drum barrels sold to one Jeffrey Dahmer.

There is a graphic novel called My Friend Dalmer by John Backdorf who went to school with him.

    21. Iowa_and_Friends on

Nobody could’ve foreseen any of that…

Ever read “my friend Dahmer”? Fantastic graphic novel – drawn by one of his peers…

the final part is when, as an adult, he hears the news about what his former classmate has done, and he’s just *horrified*…

      I can’t imagine.
