Still better than damn near everywhere else. There’s a reason is going to New York’s premier hospital than some place in Great Britain.
America bad but let’s not act like we don’t lead in a bunch of healthcare industries due to how privatized it is
Someone’s gotta pay for those nurses and doctors’ salaries. Believe it or not, their expertise, their tools, drugs don’t just fall off the sky.

Hospitals trying to balance bill you while paying their CEOs millions of dollars are just purely evil, not just merely “businesses.”

Same in our side of the world. There are cheaper alternatives like our public hospitals, but you got to wait long in lines and not all of the equipment are there.

Our system’s pretty bad but there’s a reason why about 80% of all of medical Innovation comes from the United states. Is a strong profit incentive. Institutions funded by the state have no incentive to do better because you’re going to pay for it no matter what and they won’t get paid anymore for doing their job better

And with “free” healthcare you rarely get any help. The doctors get paid the same anyway, so they don’t really give a shit if you get better or die.

I had never had heartburn before, so when I got it I went to a doctor’s office because I thoguht I was having a heart attack. They used a stephescope and had me run on a treadmill for a minute or two then charged 500$. The whole visit probably lasted 15 minutes.

Lmao, I wish they were businesses. When I was in Japan, I would go to the doctor, see the doctor, wait in the lobby afterward, pay the bill (10~30 dollars), and never hear from them again.
Meanwhile, in the US, you go to the hospital, have ONE thing done, pay for it, 2 weeks to 6 months later receive a bill for something else, and 2 weeks to 6 months later receive another bill for something else. The best part is that the final steps can sometimes keep repeating themselves many more times!

Yep and they pray on employees good will when they cut pay and benefits in order to not have it effect patient costs since it makes them money.

No, I care about my bills and my check first and foremost as caring about patients doesn’t pay my mortgage. I don’t work out of Charity
