“Irish people” in this context means Irish Catholics.
There is a reason Cromwell is seen as the Devil in Ireland. His conquest and genocide wiped out up to 40% of Irelands native population at the time, whether it was through combat, disease or starvation. Out of a population of around 1.5 million, up to 600,000 died during his brutal invasion.
The conquest fully cemented the success of the Ulster plantations and pushed a large majority of Irish catholic landowners to the West in Connaught (To Hell or to Connaught). Many of the lands confiscated from the native Irish were given to English and Scottish settlers, a large amount of whom were his soldiers for their servitude.
Tens of thousands of Irish were also took as indentured servants for slave labour in the Caribbean or North America. Just an all around cunt really.
Ireland has, along with Scandinavia, historically been one of the least Jewish parts of Europe.
Speaking as a Jewish American, I don’t see why being allowed to move back to the UK is such a good thing. If anything it seems antisemitic to subject them to the British way of life.
