It’s India. Few millions of dalit deaths means nothing to them.

To think we’re around a decade or two away from heat waves in India being so bad it’s got a 90% fatality rate for anyone who doesn’t have air conditioning

If India were to blow up the Himalaya , would the cool air flow downward and chill the place out ?

That pictures shows none of the cities exceeding 45. Am I missing something?

Despite having the desert area Rajasthan is not in the list.

Look ar Google streets of Mumbai, see concrete abominations, understand why it sucks to live there. While looking at Udupi- and understand why it’s more cool there.

Sadly Punjab is having similar heatwave issues. It’s the most fertile land out there and very necessary for national food production like few other states.

Madras isn’t on this list because we were only 39° but with 80% humidity the real feel was 53° couple of days back.
Ridiculously hot. I called up Bluedart and told them to delay my package deliveries and keep their staff away from the streets for a few days, gave my maid some time off because she takes a bus/walks to work

Last year in UAE it touched 50°, was something else..

In the near future you will start to see climate refugees and “goldilocks zones”.

I don’t think this is completely accurate. Balangir had a high of 44.0°C yesterday according to the state’s meteorological department. Another city named Jharsuguda in the state had a high of 45.2°C yesterday.

Why doesn’t the government and Indian elites do more to help the country, like plant more trees, reduce fossil fuels dependency and reduce population growth?

The North of India will literally kill you. If not the heat, the pollution, the infrastructure or sheer poverty will get you.
