I had a TERRIBLE high school english class that kept trying to play “devil’s advocate”(just contrarian) with Odysseus and it made me only defend him further.
His troops are complete idiots. In the translation I read, he basically goes “OKAY, CONSIDERING YOU GUYS KEEP GETTING INTO MESSES, HOW ABOUT I SEND TWENTY OF YOU HEAVILY ARMED? WILL *THAT* KEEP YOU OUT OF TROUBLE?!”
