    1. During the opening of WWI, Russian armies invading East Prussia frequently sent radio messages without proper encryption. German commanders intercepted the transmissions, learned Russian troop movements, and used that intelligence to surround and destroy much of the Russian Second Army at the Battle of Tannenberg.

    3. Same thing happened when Russia invaded Ukraine and they also used civilian radios and personal mobile phones and Ukrainians also quickly learned that they could triangulate and honeytrapp Russian soldiers by using Tinder.
