Man I still remember playing with one of these bad boys for the first time, surreal. I never had any consoles of my own until I got a PS4. Before that I was always playing off of my cousins’ consoles.

I never understood the hate the 360 got for AA batteries. You can swap it for a battery pack or do what I did and just swap rechargeable AA batteries and you never need to worry.

    3. meanwhile, my ipad pro goes more than 15 minutes off the charger and it evaporates into dust…

The 360 controller will always be my favorite controller. I feel lioe modern controllers have sticks that are too loose but the 360 had just the right amount of tension/resistance

My dog lived to 17. Give it 4 more years and I’ll be impressed. 😂

    6. Nice. Did the 360 still have charge or did it have a red circle to indicate low battery?

    7. What caused this to be considered the best controller ever, even moreso than XB1 controller? Why couldn’t Microsoft just keep this in production line if it’s so good?

Despite the red-ring fiasco the 350 and its controllers were an incredible gaming system .

    9. i found a battery holder with orange marker on it that i explicitly remember drawing when i was little babby

    10. I’ve had my black wired 360 controller since 2008 or 2009. Had worked like a charm until recently when the left stick started drifting when I just put the tiniest amount of pressure on it.

I bought a play and charge kit for my Series X controller and it lasted about 6 months before it won’t hold charge.

    12. Those packs were amazing. I’m still using some today (only hold a few hours now)

I’ve got 7 360 controllers all still going. Sticks worn to nothing and I’ve only done 2 stick replacements for drift after all these years. Works with every game and built like a tank (all my Xbox moderns controllers have died within a few years, so gave up getting more).

Also a good size and form factor newer controllers do not feel as good, the DS4 is pretty good I suppose depending on the game but my go to is still the 360 controller.

The 360 controller is remarkably well put together and comfortable to use. There’s a reason it was adopted by PC gamers as the de facto standard controller for PC games that a mouse and keyboard aren’t best suited to, and it isn’t just the fact that it came with a USB connector as standard.
