This hits too close to home lol. I spend whole weekend being productive adult and then Monday morning I look like I got hit by truck. My apartment is spotless but somehow I feel more tired than before the weekend started.

My rest days are not rest days its like work but stressful and its annoying cause you really have to do it like your boss is yourself

It’s 2026 and we don’t have an economical machine that can fold our laundry! Those at the top deliberately want us to be miserable. We can launch and land a shuttle day in and day out but we can’t get some sort of automation for our unmentionables

I shifted my laundry/grocery days to weekdays and it helped a lot.

My cleaning is still done in the weekends, I do it before sleep. Helped there too, since you’re away from screens and get really tired before sleep!

3 day weekends are long overdue. Workers of the world really should unite on that one.

    6. Microdose the cleaning throughout the week.

      * Do a load of laundry when there’s enough to do, not when there’s a pile.
      * Clean one or two rooms a night. No need to deep clean just pick up clutter, wipe the counter, etc
      * Do the dishes straight after dinner. Clean while you cook if you can. Just use the cutting board? Cool, take 20 secs to clean it while the meat is cooking.

Little actions add up. Once the weekend hits you will have more time to unwind.

    7. Yep that’s why I said “fuck it” a few years ago when my wife got severe burnout and just let things slide. Fuck social norms, our mental health comes first.

    8. Weekends should be 3 days. 1 day to decompress do some grocery shopping/lite shopping, 1 day to do life shit and 1 day to finish up stuff and get mentally ready to work again.

And still can’t afford to buy a home, have two cars, and children on a single income like the boomers had.

    10. Gets worse with young kids. Sometimes mondays are where you get the most rest of the week 😀

    11. “Doing laundry” aka 5 minutes of putting clothes into the washing machine. People out there pretending to live in 1800 just to give themselves some more victimization points.
