Looking at this picture it kinda highlights the fact that america has always been and will always be a plantation. 

Where the wealthy and prominent of their time get to live lavishly althewhile exploiting the working class and young women. 

Now i dont think there is anything wrong with nudity or a burlesque show, but at the same time as this photo, the federal government had just passed laws on what was considered pornography/obscene. 

And yes state laws differ, sure. But the only difference in this and the risky boudoir photos that was popular at the time is a two step.
