I spent most of 9/11 fielding calls at a book and magazine shop from people wanting those and newspapers from that day or Sept 12 or both.

I have that same people magazine issue. Found it at a used book store. Pretty interesting to look through.

Lots of people have saved newspapers and magazines from huge major events. A lot of older folks still have newspapers from Kennedy’s assassination stored somewhere, or perhaps the Challenger explosion.
Those are three events where people remember where they were when they heard the news. Oddly, the O.J. Simpson verdict is also in that pantheon of events for many people. (I clearly remember those last three.)

I don’t know which is better. Is it finding your mom’s 9/11 magazine collection, or your dad’s porno magazine collection.

I’m probably gonna buy and keep my first paper in years when Trump or Putin die (while still in office).

We used to get Newsweek and Time. One of them is where I saw the picture of the guy falling where it looked so graceful in that one moment.

I’m wondering how the heck did that photographer in the top left capture that shot. Like did he know it was going to hit at that moment? I guess you could run a video and then clip it?

I have a people magazine from Diana’s death. I found it at my grandma’s house after she died in 2012. She had the crossword puzzle mostly completed, so I finished it for her.
