      This is kinda overlooked and some people already mocked It, but the fact that we tamed our greatest biological competitor (wolves) is something unique and insane

    2. I think human civilization would develop slower without animals, but still develop, whereas without language there would be no civilization (or you can choose agriculture instead of language, or some other essential thing)

      Not to mention the domestication of plants, the calorie output of domesticated plants, and those you find in the wild, are beyond comparison.

      I’m pretty sure picking up a rock and throwing it is also in the top 5

      I don’t think horses did it out of free will… i mean, the stardart way of guiding a horse is still to inflict pain or discomfort to it. Now imagine how they were initially “tamed”.

      Domestication is quite a rare achievement, but there are thousands of species, that domesticated some other animals. Even slavery is less abundant. However, almost all of them are insects.
