    1. The market is definitely getting tougher, but also if you’re getting that many rejections then your resume is probably trash and needs rewritten

    2. Ive never been asked about my gba. Heck, ive never even asked to show my diploma.

    3. …. this isn’t a real thing right? My GPA has never affected my job prospects and hell I don’t think it made much difference in going to college/grad school. Also if it is real, a 3.9 GPA is damn near perfect and should get you anywhere you wanna be.

    4. I graduated business school with a perfect GPA and got a job shortly after, and this was in 2024. No one has ever asked me about my GPA or even asked for any evidence I went to college. I just told them I did, and they believed me. Its not that deep.

    5. My father told me that only one time in 90s he was asked for a college transcript by HR for an interview, and the manager didn’t even look at it when he turned up for the interview

      I completed a B.S degree with a 4.0 GPA and a M.S. degree with a 4.0 GPA. No one gave a shit.

    7. Um your HS/college grades have never been important when looking for a job. At least not for the majority of companies. Maybe some specific intern spot jna some lab but not for the everything else.

ive applied to almost every job in my county and ive either got rejected or straight up ignored (one got back to me 3 months later, rejected, lol)

    9. From my understanding, GPA is more for continued education purposes. You need to meet a threshold before being allowed to apply for programs, at least that’s what I’ve been seeing. Many of the ones I’ve looked at want something between 2.7-2.9 as a minimum. Other than higher education, I don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard it applied to any sort of position. Maybe as a flex on a résumé or something.

I was gonna go to college for computer engineering, but then McDonald’s promoted me to a networking IT position because I was always fixing shit (unplugging and plugging back in) shit around the restaurant.
