I think there are simple remotes that also have a learning function. just need the basics.

It does exactly what it says on the tin.

It’s for the elderly. We gave my grandmother a similar one. All she needs is the buttons that are on this one.

That would save so many people so much time on the phone/FaceTime with (and even trips over to) parents/grandparents to fix the TV.

I mean what more do you need.
Especially if you’re in a country with like only 5 channels.

It’s a very superior stick!

This is the remote I wished I could’ve had for when my grandparents came to visit and wanted to work the TV in the 90s.

Where do I get one?

My dad would only be able to find the up volume button

My nan could use this, she lost her sight and turning on the TV is like a 3 step process now

Samsung BN59-01270A is great too. After more than 10 years it is still working great.

I work with elderly and would *love* any remote that gets rid of the input button. Your tv isn’t broken–it’s always because they hit input.

Can we program it to auto skip Fox News please?

Forget the remote! I’m all about the tablecloth.

I bought one for my old tv because all I needed it for was my Roku and I couldn’t turn on/ control the volume with the Roku remote so this was perfect.

I assure you my dad would still manage to activate some annoying always-on overlay (and still not notice it’s there)

Look I’m all for efficiency and waste reduction, but remotes are so easy to lose nowadays

Am I so old now that the way remotes were when I was a kid is now considered weird?

The very first remotes had volume up/down, chanel up/down and, if you were luck on/off.
My Dad would still manage to open some strange menu and change a setting, that not even a service technician would know exists, and I have to try to fix it for more than an hour…..once every 3 months.

The elderly everywhere would love that one.
I say that’s the future.
