Deadass gave my 2 weeks yesterday. Boss just messaged me today trying to earn me back. I said no and thanks for the time and effort and stuck with my resignation.
I’m the only person in my position. Good luck!

Somehow I’ve become the CEO’s personal engineer for his “special projects.” It’s cool and the projects are usually fun or at least interesting (definitely challenging at times bc he doesn’t know wtf he’s talking about), but I have responsibilities that require my attention in a timely manner. Also, the company hired a new employee as an administrative assistant but apparently she’s become the CEO’s project manager and now she comes to me confused with the CEO’s chat gpt responses. Love my job but things are getting weird. All that to say, I would like more money please 🫶

I like the extra responsibility.
I understand its not for everyone.
Last week I got asked to cover a shift at another branch, a state over.
I said yes, they bought me lunch and are offering to pay for gas and travel.
Ill be doing next week too.

Until they discard you because it’s impossible to burn the candle at both ends, after a while they expect you to be the department hero all the time and it’s not sustainable.
Good luck with that shit.

Been there, done that, wore the T-shirt. Experience gained is great, but it comes at a steep price, not many are willing to pay. You will be underpaid and overworked and not even realize it.
