That’s “the beach” at the Sears photographer at the mall. If you listen closely you can hear the family down the hall with the crying kids and the photographer begging to them to look at the birdie and smile.

This isn’t during a break filming. The film was in *in theaters* when these photos were taken, and principal photography had been done for a year. Never mind that the Tatooine scenes were shot in Tunisia or something, and this is Stinson Beach, about a third of the way around the world. This photo series was shot by Aaron Rapoport for Rolling Stone’s July 1, 1983 double issue.
Seriously, it doesn’t take that much work to look up where and when a photo shoot was done. It’s better than just making up, “Oh, they were on a break filming.”
