    1. Vinegar as a topping for fries is a Canadianism that you don’t see nearly as much in the US.

I hate seeing fries like this how can you not want exactly those fries and some fucking vinegar right away please gib 😭

    3. Wish they offered that here in the US, I usually get a confused stare when I ask for malt vinegar here.

I am from Canada and I remember going to a restaurant in the US and asked for vinegar and they looked at me like I was crazy lol

Northern Ontario here… white vinegar is super standard fry topping. Sometimes it’s even in a spay bottle to mist your fries.

Must be a Commonwealth thing. In South Africa, fries are almost always served with malt vinegar. We still ask for vinegar here in the US, but in the south we usually just get blank stares…

    7. My dad showed me the glory of vinegar on fries when I was a little kid at the local fair. We always use malt vinegar. We are from the the Augusta Georgia area. I love hand cut fries with malt vinegar!

    8. Malt vinegar I understand (love mixing it with ketchup to dip my fries in), but white vinegar? Must be to wash your hands or table off….. 😆.

Way back in college I stopped using ketchup for fries, because I was usually studying or something while eating and ketchup was too much of a bother. I got to where I eat fast food fries as they are, but I put vinegar (just regular white vinegar) on my fries at home. Italian dressing isn’t too bad either.
