    1. Yes Sir Arthur Harris was indeed highly regarded, civilian moral did not break and would not break no matter how many he “dehoused” and he should have known after seeing the British fight even harder during the “Blitz” bombing of Britain.

Thousands of Aircrew and hundreds of Bombers wasted because he thought it unmannly to bomb boring shit like Refineries and Railyards. “Look, all of Hamburg went up in a firestorm! Based!” Yeah and it slowed production by like 6% for three days, back to normal after that.

    2. Lol churchill pushed to war by sabotaging relations between Germany and Poland, and refusing negociations with Germany even though Mussolini tried his best to get negociations done.

That brit hog never paid the bill for what he did.

    3. The bombing of civilian infrastructure was forced upon the allies. There were a lot of Nazi militants hiding among the civilian population. One should remember that almost every German household had at least one member sworn to fight for Adolph Hitler.

I knew exactly what kind of comments there would be under this meme, and I am still disappointed.
If you are defending Harris, you probably also justify bombing hospitals in the current conflicts

    6. Nazi Germany deserved every single bomb dropped on it. Hell, I’d go as far as say that the Red Army and Stalin were really, really damn kind to Germans for some reason. If I was in charge, I’d be heavily pushing for much harsher treatment and much more equalizing revenge.

That Sportspalast speech is the first use of “Total war” IIRC, like the strategy game series

    8. There seems to be the impression that the Sportspalast speech was Germany’s declaration of war(?) on the Soviet Union. In fact, Goebbels delivered it in 1943, after the Stalingrad battle. The term “totalen Krieg” refers here to the mobilization of even more of the economy towards the German war effort. There was some internal baseball where Goebbels was trying to persuade Hitler to give him authority over the mobilization effort (he would be appointed the Reich Plenipotentiary for Total War in July).

Gotta love the allies still celebrating their own war crimes. Good going, there. Brilliant consistency.
