    1. Closets at my local KFC in the uk is a 6 peice with 4 regular sides that is £20 or $28 and I bet it tastes worse

    2. It doesn’t expire until 03/26/2095… or maybe 2195 or 2295. I’d say use it.

The business minded part of me thinks that the meal deal made it more profitable for the restaurant.  $4.50 for four biscuits and like a coleslaw and instant mashed potatoes?  Mark up city right there.

is 8 pieces of chicken considered a snack in the US? as its obviously not a meal according to KFC

You can get this cheaper (inflation adjusted) nowadays if your KFC runs a promo on Tuesdays that halves the price of the 8 piece bucket.

It’s actually not too bad today. $20 for 8 pc with a large side and 4 biscuits.

I bet it still works. If someone showed up to my restaurant with a 31 year old coupon, I’d make the exception. We got comp tabs in full service restaurants. I’m sure fast food has something similar.

      Holy hell!!

I went to Taco Bell recently. Two tacos, 1 burrito, and a drink was damned near $20! The drink was $4!! I remember when Taco Bell was the budget choice.

    9. My kid needed a paper bucket for a play once.  So I was like…  Where the heck am I going to get that?   I go to KFC if course.  But they just would not sell me a paper bucket.

So finally, I go, “Alright, then give me two buckets of chicken, and on the second one… hold the chicken.”

The manager was called over, and I did walk out with a clean bucket.  And they let me get it for cheaper than normal after that stunt.

That exact meal at my local KFC was $20 after a coupon yesterday, or almost $30 regular price

    11. Amazing the stuff you can find when cleaning. We found some old coins my grandad had saved, the oldest one was a French coin from 1862.

    12. As a child of the 70’s I truly feel old nowadays as menu prices are insane from when I grew up. Heck, the tip is more than the whole meal used to cost sometimes. I get time value of money and prices will always go up but we just rarely eat out anymore as it’s not worth it.

I always remember 10 piece for $10 in the early 2000s; and after they went up, I discovered the far superior deli chicken in local grocery stores, and I never went back!
