India is actually hilarious, the female age of marriage is 18, but the male age of marriage is 21 because they consider 18yr old men immature 😭

India definitely has some of the weirdest shit ass laws ngl. I saw somewhere that men cannot be legally counted as victims of SA, like they can’t even file a case against r*pe. 🙄

It’s about being able to consent. Once you reach the age of consent, you have it, no matter if you are 18 or 50 (if we don’t factor in other things).

Just to give you guys a idea how fucking weird indian laws are, this is a passage in the brochures of one of the exams i am giving in india,

      30. Gender Restriction for Mining Engineering Profession
Section 46 (1) of the Mines Act, 1952 states that

“No woman shall, notwithstanding anything contained in any other law, be
employed (a) in any part of a mine which is below ground, (b) in any mine
above ground except between 6:00 and 19:00 hrs.”

However, female candidates will be admitted to Mining Engineering or Mining
Machinery Engineering related courses at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, IIT Kharagpur and
      IIT (BHU) Varanasi.

    8. Most states have some version of a “within 2 years” clause for this exact situation.
