      Maybe it’s because they want to know you’re actually working? May want to discuss work face to face, with potential for eye contact, because that’s the best way for humans to communicate?

      No, not those things, it’s LITERALLY genocide to make people come to work at the job they asked to be hired for, for an entire 37.5 hours every week in order to get paid. LOL

      How far from work, how you get to work, ane your associated costs of getting to work aren’t their problem. If it is no longer financially feasible for you to work there then something needs to change. Either you move closer to work or find a new job closer to home.

      We all have to work in office, but I during the company WebEx, I noticed one of the Directors was presenting from a pretty cosy looking office. I ain’t never seen any office environment look even remotely comfortable…
