      This strategy only works if you have more industrial or replenishment capacity than the opponent has attack capacity.

      Looking at you, 1st Punic War Rome (although pre-industrial but still counts) and World Wars USA.

    2. Yamamoto did some things exceedingly right, other things well, and absolutely hosed the deployment of submarines.

      They had superb boats and world-beating torpedoes and just…completely used them poorly.

      He’s one of my favorite historical figures. I’d have loved to sit down and absolutely fanboy the guy while trying to have a discussion.
