The Kingdom of Italy was only declared in 1861. Mussolini took power in 1922, when the Kingdom was only 61 years old, and was deposed in 1943 when the kingdom was 82. Having ruled as Prime Minister/Il Duce for 21 years, Mussolini had been in charge for ~25% of the Kingdom of Italy’s history
It’s hilarious that Mussolini wanted Italians to eat rice instead. Like, I thought fascists studied and compared ethnicities and diets, did they not realise that wheat was the superior aryan grain (technically it’s oats)?
