My grandfather and unknown others, West Lafayette, Indiana. Born in 1918 so I think he is about 8-10 or so in this photo (third right with glasses). We believe he walked to school to the building that is now in Cason Park, also West Lafayette.

Given the location and time of year that’s likely an apple not an orange. Great pic, we see the transition from lunch pail to lunch box.
