Here’s my philosophy. Age is just a number. Mental age isn’t. A seven year age gap is suspicious at 19-26, malicious at 19-12, a little weird at 26-33 and perfectly acceptable at 33-40. And of course if someone is developmentally disabled to a degree of still being a child then they can’t consent…
Clarification: When I say “a little weird at 26-33” I meant that a bad actor within the 7 year age gap may seek out a person seven years younger than then as a power move or manipulation tactic. After the age of 35-42 this is less likely to be a factor but not impossible since bad actors exist in every age group. Almost anyone can be in a healthy relationship with anyone else but given that the Original Post had an age gap of 7 years I kept that example and poorly tried to point out that a relationship with such a gap CAN be concerning but not necessarily bad.
What about older women/younger men?

If there is a big age gap but the younger person is a mature adult let’s say 25 or 30. Then they can make a choice if they chooses say (to be extreme) a 80 year old partner then that their choice. It pure ageism to complain. Respect people’s choices. Now if the younger partner is not fully mature that is completely different.
It’s because the male redditors don’t care and female redditors are 30’ish women that can’t handle younger women being picked over them when it comes to dating.
It’s weird how the frontal lobe argument of “young people’s brains haven’t developed fully yet” ONLY applies to older male dating.
It doesn’t apply to, say, making political decisions. It’d be interesting to see anyone who gets real mad about dating also take the stance that “political beliefs before 25 are invalid.”

My grandfather’s first wife passed away when he was in his late thirties. He later married my grandmother who was 18 at the time. They lived in a very small town so that had a lot to do with it. They went on to have 15 kids together. My grandfather passed at around 94. My grandmother went on to live to almost 100. She never remarried. She loved my grandfather and their life together. She didn’t care about their age difference.
