Grandfather was a cadet in the Philippine Military Academy. Grandmother was president of a bank in her hometown province. They met after he graduated in the academy and served in the southern Philippines, she eventually became a SAHM to raise my dad and his 7 siblings, while he rose to the ranks of colonel.
