I guess we’re referring now to the Chernobyl disaster? It’s the other well known Ukrainian disaster.

But let’s be honest: The illegal, unprovoked invasion that killed so many to this date is way way worse than that.

Nearly every modern conflict traces its roots to the Cold War and events associated with it, like decolonization and proxy wars.

Almost all events of the current geopolitical chaos is rooted in the cold war, and the cold war is rooted in WW2, and WW2 in WW1, and WW1 in yeah

    4. Oh, yeah, that “Crisis” buzzword is so often used by Russian allys from axis of dirt that I’m not sure what do you want to say. Call a spade a spade, not a euphemism, if you want to sound like a normal person.

More than just a continuation of the cold war, the current geopolitical issues come from the reality of a second cold war, reborn in the 2000s, where anti-west powers try to get stronger and create a loosely “allied” eastern bloc:
-Russia, after recovering from the 1990 breakup, tries to rebuild its empire and become a world power again (Controlling Belarus, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Ukranian Regions, and to a lesser extent Transnistria), while maintaining a strong influence in central Asia and the caucasus, and trying to find partners in Europe like Orban.
-China emerges as a true world power, and has its vassals North Korea and Myanmar, Hong-Kong. It behaves like a bully towards neighbouring countries in the Pacific ocean and expands/modernizes its military at an incredible pace.
-Iran and its axis of resistance (Hamas, PLO, Hezbollah, PMF brigades, and many others, helped by Quds spec ops), try to aggressively spread their influence in most of the middle east through proxies in Gaza, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria and Irak. Along with a more minor presence in Jordan, the West Bank, Afghanistan and Somalia
-Venezuela, Cuba, Algeria stay anti-west, and are dependent on China and Russia.
-China and Russia are trying expand their influence in Africa and South America.
-Non state agents and proxies are thriving (Cartels and criminal networks, smugglers, mercenaries, jihadists, rebels etc.)

And in the middle you have those who play both sides, or just their own side, like South Africa, India, Pakistan or Turkey.

    6. Right before cold war/durin ww2:
One one side rusia controled ukraine and other countries under ussr and on the other ukrainiens sided with nazis and organized nazi military that killed many rusians, jews and poles and made genocide on poles.
