Brown eyes are actually statistically the best eyes to have. Although the difference between eye color is 90% visual, brown eyes have several slight advantages over the rest
They’re way better at protecting your sight from bright lights, they have lower chances of eye problems or infections compared to others, and you’re harder to read through eye contact.
Brown eyes have reduced night vision so minor compared to blue or green eyes that the difference is barely noticeable, but in 2026 even nighttime is bright, rendering that slight advantage of lighter eyes practically useless.
And then there’s Dark brown eyes which are brown eyes+. Considered to be the best eye color. However very rare specific cases of heterochromia can actually beat out dark brown eyes as statistically better, although it requires the person to have a dark brown eye as part of it.
