    1. Endings are extremely difficult , need planning, and most shows never make it that far so they dont plan on it at all beside maybe a crude outline. 99% of all shows.

Or you end up with something like Babylon 5 crunches two whole seasons including their conclusion more or less in 4 because of cancellation theats, ends the show then gets renewed.

Or Supernatural ends its 5 season arc then goes 10 more seasons and has an ok send off. So two endings.

Yes Dexter’s writers, they’re talking about you and your finale for the series.
Absolute trash, I will never watch it again.

One of my kids started watching it, I warned him multiple times but he went on till the end… and then he came to me and said “OMG you were totally right, it’s total garbage” “TOLD YA A MILLION TIMES!”

Not everything has to be some crazy twist ending. Maybe just go with the popular ending and be different with your story leading up to this. Some of yall “artists” buy in to this being different thing too much ironically.

The boys, currently walking on the same path as Game of thrones or Walking dead.

    7. Last Kingdom. Ends with a crazy fast paced movie instead of a season. Had great potential for a season too but Netflix pulled a Netflix.

More often than not it’s them going crazy narcissistic and fire everyone giving them tips, fixing their mistakes and reworking their garbage. Or in case of Stranger Things, divorcing them

The Walking Dead was already doing this into season 2. I had such hope for it and the first episode was amazing. Then the baby mama drama had me thinking if I was watching Interdimensional Cable version of it.

I have some sympathy for the fatigue that might come with writing a show for YEARS. But I also think that show runners should probably find some passionate writers to take over when that happens.

    11. I think this is because most of the authors spent more time writing the start and middle part of the story that they get better practice writing those parts

And when you do make a good ending you gotta fuck it up with a movie disobeying every law set by the series

I am looking at you Thomas shelby
