Even worse than leaving them behind is having them serve and then kicking them out. Literally our government saying *fug you for your service*

Trump tried to cut 80,000 Veterans Affairs jobs. After some blowback, he ended up cutting 26,000 VA jobs in 2025 and more cuts during 2026 (about 40,000 job cuts total).
Republicans have cut thousands of doctors, nurses, specialists at the VA. A number of VA facilities were even forced to close, causing some veterans to travel longer distances for limited healthcare.
Trump/Republican cuts to the VA have **REDUCED** healthcare access for veterans. Period.

JFC and I thought the homeless population in America was around 400,000. This is absurdly disrespectful.
Fuck Trump and all but why hasn’t any US President cared to solve this issue. This is a clear national moral failing especially as America continues to “honour” its military more than any other nation in the first world.

Now add the number of suicides. If that doesn’t bring tears to your eyes, you don’t have a heart.

Can we also have a conversation about this administration’s never ending efforts to cut Veteran’s benefits?

Don’t even mention how shitty VA health insurance can be.
If the mission doesn’t end when the deployment ends, the support shouldn’t either.

There are 33,000 homeless veterans and 45,000 veterans charities.
I’m pretty confident that if the government and the charities wanted to stop homelessness, they could do it in a very short period of time. They don’t because they use it as a tool to get donations and to manipulate legislation where they tack on pork barrel bullshit for their districts.
I mean, let’s be honest how many billions of dollars have we spent on Iran unnecessarily? That would probably take care of all homelessness in the United States. While the war has cost an estimated $25-$30 billion experts say that it’s costing the economy nearly a $ trillion.
Not to mention the cost of rebuilding all those U.S. military bases that were decimated.

They were not left behind, they are are homeless at …home?
More sad than funny that the leader of the country doesn’t know anything about being an American.
Abandon In Place
Btw would cost less than $3B to house them all. Thats just homeless vets.
We love the military until after they have served and then actually ask for the benefits they were promised. It is a travesty.
