Obviously this is staged but every time I see this photo I like to imagine the brave cameraman crawling out of the foxhole under fire to get the perfect shotÂ

I knew a Hawaiian guy who was there with a machine gun team just like this.
He talked about killing somebody with nearly every bullet, and simply not being able to kill enough. The Chinese soldiers who captured him did not even have rifles.
