Oh judge, you couldn’t possibly expect us to produce this bit of records that we knew we’d have to produce months ago in any amount of time less than half a year! What do you mean we didnt give you what you asked for? Oh that? Yeah that’ll take about 4 months to come up with.
You gave the benefit of the doubt to someone who had no intention of behaving honorably. He should have been treated as hostile the whole time.
