    1. That looks like it would hurt a lot .. I can’t imagine getting a liquid pumped to me at this speed especially if my kidney wasn’t doing well .. im sorry for all those who had to go through this may you feel better now and never need this again

    2. A friend of mine is having a similar operation to remove stones. I don’t think I will send her this link however.

I don’t think sending air in the kidneys like that is very good. Gosh that must hurt

    5. Ok, that is a cystoscope, not a nephroscope.
In other words, that tube that they are attaching the syringe to goes to the bladder, not the kidney.
Those are indeed fragments of a stone, most likely a large bladder stone and not a kidney stone.

Kidney stones are usually small. Bigger one can be removed via a tube in your back (nephroscope, and you cannot absolutely irrigated it at such high pressures like they are doing it) or with shockwaves (and you would pee sand out).

The flushing out seems satisfying, but the flushing back in 10 times seems pretty fucking brutal.

    7. I currently have leukemia. I got some kidney stones during this time and honestly, I’m not sure which was more painful, the first bone marrow transplant or passing that stupid little pebble of doom. 😡😭

This IS not a kidney stone procedure.

Thats a cystoscope and those are bladder stones being evacuated from a bladder, not a kidney.

Likely this patient has bladder outlet obstruction from his prostate leading to stone formation in the bladder.

This video is likely from china given the type of scopes used and the reusable toomey type syringe. I have operated in like 20 different hospitals throughout the US and we dont use these types of tools. We use a different type of tool called a Elik evacuator to remove stones from a scope.

Also could be mexico/SA they use a lot more Chinese instruments.
