    1. If you wear black leggins that can sometimes happen. Stained my toilet seat over time because all I wear is black leggins. Interesting tho for sure.

Possibly a change in skin PH ? Fun !

Edit: wow to the downvotes ! OP finished chemo two years ago. A colored toilet seat is by far the least painful side effect of chemo. This is the midlyinteresting sub. Chill, people.

Well. A small amount of the stuff in your blood will make their way into sweat&sebum (the two primary skin secretions).

Not to mention that often in chemotherapy sebum production decreases and you have use skin creams to keep the skin from drying out.

Any of that can cause plastic degradation/discoloration

My sweat turns white plastic purple. My phone grip, Xbox controller. Things that other people turn yellow, mine goes purple blue gray. But I’m not on chemo.

When my kiddo was getting chemo, if she got bit by a mosquito it would die.

    6. I remember after each round of chemo my urine would be bright red for a couple of toilet visits and would reek to high heaven. Visitors weren’t allowed to use my toilet for three days after each go

    7. Send OP to the juicing room and have them squeezed

this can sometimes happen with pregnant women. Toilet seats can have some anti microbial silver, and it can turn blueish in the presence of certain chemicals/level of acidity

Typically your oncologist will give you paperwork and warnings about how chemo drugs/medication affects your body. I remember when speaking with my mother’s oncologist where she said make sure she flushes the toilet after using it and try not to have anyone change her bed sheets without wearing gloves and to wash the items separate. Chemo drugs are highly toxic and can transfer through sweat and bodily waste/fluids.

When my father did Chemotherapy it was a lot harsher because in China they use a lot of experimental chemotherapy medication since there is no concept of FDA regulation. Some of the experimental ones use super toxic chemicals similar to cyanide.

Are you sure this is from Chemo? The same thing happened to our toilet seats at home, and neither my wife nor I have had Chemo. I had always assumed it was just a cheap material (I replaced the seats a few years ago), or caused by my wife’s lotion, self tan, etc.

OP did you get Adriamycin (doxorubicin or the ‘red devil’). I’m an onc nurse and off the top of my head that med would likely do it

    12. Happy you Beat cancer!

I said this before and will say it again, cancer is bane to society. My late grandfather died of colon cancer. It was too late, when found out- it was end stage.

      FUCK CANCER

AND CONGRATULATION FOR BESTING THAT MF OP!

    13. Me: see I knew that place wasn’t as safe as all these people try to say it is. You wouldn’t catch me exploring there that’s for sure.

      Oh chemotherapy NOT Chernobyl.

I had the same issue a few years ago without chemo, never found out what it was but the toilet seat was ruined

You’re radioactive, or something to that effect.

When my brother-in-law went through chemo, he was the only one allowed to use 1 toilet.

    16. Did you take doxorubicin? It will turn body fluids red and can cause staining! It is a common drug used widely- I had it for lymphoma. Also, make sure your oncologist has given you a survivorship plan regardless 🙂

I had this happen when I was wearing pants (trousers for Brits) that were leaching dye onto my skin. Legit.

So, in my case it was my crappy cheap clothing that was the cause.
