they’ll just choose to release and even *smaller* amount and hike up the prices, the ol inflation razzle dazzle.

    2. I rather buy synthetic diamonds. They are the same thing, cheaper and more ethical.

It’s not that they refuse the buy diamonds, it’s that they’re refusing to buy their diamonds.

Found in the Earth, forced labor, civil wars like the Central African Republic Civil War. Artificially inflated price. Or? No war, lab grown, and more pristine for a cheaper cost? I’m not even a millennial and I see why they choose the latter.

    4. You can buy a one carat ring made of something that looks just like a diamond for $100.

De Beers lost their monopoly in like 2001 when most millennials were in like high school.

Its just a shiny rock that is apart of a controlled market to boost prices

    7. When buying an expensive diamond ring, remember that on Uranus and Neptune it literally rains diamonds.
It’s just (C) and nothing more.

I would rather go to mines and found a gem and make it into a ring than pay a million for a common rock

      It’s not just that ,

Thier industry is dieing because of lab grown diamond. It is not much different from thier “carbon rocks ” they kinda had a deal with botswana who backed off recently and then hey reduced the number of autherized agent distributers .

Lab grown diamond for the win .

    10. Bought my wife a lab grown diamond.  She loves it.

It’s a good size and quality and was not cheap, but same thing from the ground would be around 25k.  Was nowhere near that.

    11. Buy either moissanite or at the very least lab diamonds if you *really* want a true “diamond”.

I’m tired of people treating moissanite like a cheap diamond simulant thats terrible. Moissanite is better than diamond in almost every way. It’s cheap, hard, tough, and sparkles much more than diamonds do. It isn’t as hard as a diamond, but 9.25 mohs is more than enough compared to a 10 mohs for literally pennies on the dollar per stone.

Not only that, but moissanite has a very cool story. Natural moissanite can basically only form in the hearts of dying stars because it forms in similar conditions to diamonds but it has to have absolutely zero oxygen or else it will just form quartz instead, which is why the only obtainable stones are lab created. The story behind most natural diamonds is that an african kid died mining it and saw zero of the profits.
