This was an unfamiliar area for her, as the zoo recent;y opened a new section to make their enlosure even bigger, which is probably why she was so eager to explore her options. Eventually, they removed the log before she made it out

      Keeping animals for public display creates a false narrative of conservation.

      No amount of environmental enrichment can compensate for the loss of freedom and the ability to live according to biological instincts.

      Research indicates that non-human primates like chimpanzees,

      possess high levels of self-awareness and complex social structures that cannot be replicated in captivity.

      Life in a zoo dictates every aspect of their existence, from diet to companionship functioning as a life sentence that suppresses their natural autonomy.

      > The Taipei Zoo is planning to do around one month construction work for D’jeeco family’s home, it will provide more friendly living environment for them. The zoo reopen another connected place for their temporary home recently, they will walk around these two areas. Visitors will have a kind of hard to see them clearly in new area. Especially the window with dark film, it somehow blocks the clear picture quality.

      Zoos should be closed woldwide, keep the open ones where all animals are in the wild.

      It’s sad she understands enough to know she’s a prisoner. This is human legacy we have done so much harm to the environment the only thing left from Extinction is cages .
      Makes our so called protesting look pathetic it isn’t the right way or the right reason or the right things. All about us untill there are no big animals left we are creating a ELE our selves which will always be a problem when a super predator evolves. O that’s us Me and you humans are super predators just turn on the news try finding article that isn’t about how we are destroying our selves and the earth alone with us .
