Sure it was in your “troath” and not your brain?

Homie’s speaking in Old English. “For ‘strooth, this bone hast pocked my troath.”

    4. My wife and I were on vacation once and on the first night, she had some salmon. Next morning she was complaining of a sharp pain in her troath, and my SIL, who is a nurse, used her phone light to look at her troath. She saw a fish bone stuck right behind her uvula. Later that day, we went to a walk in clinic to see if they could remove it. Long story short, the doctor didn’t initially believe us because “salmon should be deboned” and when she finally did believe us, was so rude to my wife that we just left. My wife’s pain started to be so bad, we considered going home to get her medical care, but the bone fortunately managed to work its way out by noon the next day.

    5. You have a little area in your throat called the piriform recess that pieces of food can sometimes get stuck in. Fish bones is actually the example I learned back in school!

Look, I love fish… but serving fish raw or otherwise that isn’t deboned should be a crime.

Jokes aside, Glad you got it out. If not in the most UNPLEASANT sounding way possible.

    7. My brother almost died because of this. Since then, I’m taking forever to eat fish because I remove everything and check everywhere for bones. My plate looks like I’m 3 years old.

You need to chew better/longer, particularly with fish for exactly this reason.

    9. That was fortunate. My dad had a fish bone coming out of his knee. Apparently the bone can wander around in your body.

“it did felt like something was pocking my troath”

The machinery that produces content on reddit–yes, including fake pics that can’t be detected by the sham AI detectors–are trying to make everyone stupider and stupider. This, in part, is why Gen Z is the first generation to have gotten stupider since they started keeping track. We are living in evil times.

To be fair, the amount of fish bones I found in my food was the reason I quit eating fish as a kid. A lot of my stomach issues cleared up around that time too, but no one thought about it.
Would’ve saved me a LOT of trouble later on.

yikes, that sounds super uncomfortable. glad you got it out though, fish bones can be sneaky like that!

I thought “Contains mercury” was enough reason to not eat fish when there’s people refusing to get vaccinated because there might be one part per million of mercury in it.
