That mall is pretty fun. It’s in Orlando. They basically converted like 80% of a dead mall into a car museum. So many of the shops have cars in it and stuff. When I went I think tickets were like $10 or something, so worth the hour or two.

The last time I heard about this, it was rotting in a junkyard somewhere! So glad to see it taken care of!

I think it had two 500 ci engines in it. I’m thinking the steering wheel is like that of a pirate ship.

saw this in the guinness book before. genuinely wondered how you turn in that thing. still do.
i get that the meme answer is “you don’t”, but… genuinely, it had to turn a bit somehow, sometimes, no?

I’ve been seeing this thing since it was in the Guinness Book in the ’80s. I believe it had been left to rot for quite a while until someone got a hold of it and restored it.
I really wonder if it has ever actually moved, all in one piece, under its own power. Obviously it can’t actually go anywhere, but I wonder if it has enough power and traction to even pull itself along. An Eldo of that vintage would have had a 500 cu in motor stock and the chain drive FWD system, same as the Olds Toronado. If the drivetrain is hooked up at all, I’d imagine it’s only driving one set of those front wheels. The 500 had plenty of grunt, but I wonder if traction would be an issue with something that long and heavy.
