It’s very silly that the one seed he grabbed was the one that was keeping the thing from flipping.
He could have chosen any seed, but he had to take THAT one!
Definitely won’t be wasted. All sorts of wildlife gather the seeds dropped out of my feeder. I have a trail cam at the bottom watching. Even caught a fox.
That happens when you take what is not yours.

Squirrels are absolute goofs when it comes to food. At my last house, I didn’t have a good place to put any feed out, so I just put a pile on the back deck. Later, I caught a photo of a squirrel laying on top of the pile like “Mine! All mine!”
I’ll see if I can find it, if anyone’s interested.
