I’ve been watching anime for over a year now (call me a t-rist) and I must have finished 50+ series, and I think the only one I’ve watched that has any of these in droves is High School DxD. Even Mushoku Tensei didn’t really have much of it and Rudeus is a gigaperv.
This must only be a thing in certain genres which I just don’t really watch. Is it really that common?

The dumb jokes are fine… what is not fine is when “comedy” gets in the way. Just went through a two episodes of combat, protagonist defeated gods to save the girl, she is finally warming up… only for him to accidentally grab her boob when he collapses from exhaustion after the whole ordeal, because it’s “funny”… and the entire progress is gone, because the girl lacks object permanence and is now only thinking about that boob grab and nothing else.
