Oh god summer in South Africa is a nightmare. You can barely move and everything sticks to your skin.

    2. CardinalFartz on

At least Summer is cheaper than Winter (no cost for heating and less cost for lighting).

But yeah, I think spring and autumn are best.

Been sayin this for years and been called crazy… cold can be fixed with a few layers… heat on the other hand is just brutal.

    4. It wouldn’t be so bad if the customers at my workplace didn’t spend their entire time on the way out being like “oh aren’t you glad it’s getting warmer?” With the most shit eating grin on their face.

***YES. I WANT TO BE BUTTFKKIN NAKED AND STILL SWEATING MY SOUL OUT.***

      “But AC!-”

***STFU I DON’T SEE YOU PAYING MY BILLS.***

I don’t HAVE to turn on the heater for anything more than keeping my water pipes safe. I CAN JUST BUNDLE UP in blankets.

    5. Only sick people who love over heating days of summer and sweat smell that’s everywhere when you go out

    6. Really depends on where you live. I love hoping on my bike after work and riding to the Danube 10 minutes, jump in the water and having a cold one afterwards. I can’t wait for it to get warm enough to do that.

Living in a tropical country rn, it’s not even summer and I’m tired of the mosquitoes.

    8. Feels bad man, I can’t imagine the suffering. I live in sub tropical county. Only 2 season sunny and rainy.

Move to Scotland folks, bit too much rain but we have gorgeous days with 18C, sun, breeze and total bliss.

    10. There is no limit to how many layers I can put on to warm up. There is a limit to how many layers I can take off to cool down.

    11. People always say “winter is way better than summer” and then compare 30°F and flurries of snow to 105°F and 95% humidity.

If you’re gonna compare, either do one extreme to the other, or the average of both.

I would much deal with 105° than -20°. That kind of cold is physically painful the instant I go outside, no matter how many layers I have on.

It’s also a preference thing, there’s no right or wrong answer. I love hot weather, and I hate cold weather. Some people are the other way around and they’re weird, but it’s their opinion.

    12. I’m thin and don’t hold heat easily. So >20°C weather is the best time for me

I always say I’d rather freeze to death than burn to death. Extreme? Yes but it gets the point across lol.

It’s already been over 20C here in Norway, and I have started to feel ants crawl up my legs sometimes when I sit and play video games

    15. Best investment, beside the AC of course, was my rooftop solar system. No electric bills from may till october

    16. OddReading4973 on

Where I am, we get 27° C average summers so my summers are quite pleasant.

    17. You can always add more layers in winter but you can only take off so much in summer

    18. In winter I can just exercise, put on more clothes or turn the heating on, what can you do in the summer? Remove your skin?!

    19. outland_king on

At least in winter I can put more clothes on. In summer its just ball soup and bugs.

    20. I rather have to deal with heat than deal with snow on the ground and the temperatures being below freezing.

Fuck summer. The only good thing about summer in central texas is going to the pool. And even then it’s not a guaranteed good time.

      Summer is better than winter.

In the winter, everything freezes, and you cannot escape it at all. No electricity you’re cooked. No gas? you’re cooked. you want to go drive somewhere ? Good luck the roads are icy or covered in snow. doesn’t matter how many layers you have on the cold will always get you.

In the summertime, you can take your shirt off, put on shorts, put on a muscle shirt, drink water to maintain body temperature, go to the beach to stay cool etc.

summer is just a more versatile season

    23. I genuinely believe that summer enjoyers are rich people who can afford expensive AC’s and have pools on their houses.

Cuz ain’t no way you would enjoy summer without those things.

    24. At least in summer you see sunlight, aren’t stuck inside, and don’t get wet after going outside. Way better
