I save my favorite anime on my Micro SD, so I no longer depend on mediocre services

Anime is worse on Netflix though. They have worse subtitling practices, and often when Netflix doesn’t share the license with other western streaming services they do bulk releases of subtitled anime rather than releasing concurrently with Japan. A world where Netflix has more exclusive licenses is a worse world. Even for people who pirate. Because piracy websites rely on the subtitles produced by the streamers services, without which you have to wait on the possibility of fansubs.

can’t we have a single decent option to support the studios that isn’t 60 bucks bluray or trash streaming sites with ai subtitles ?

Netflix winning just means we get better apps but way worse subtitles and a six month wait for part 2 of everything.

As someone who isn’t big big big into anime like I was in middle school.
I do get it. Netflix vs crunchy roll. Do you want only anime or a variety of different types of tv. For me personally and I think many others would choose the latter.
Not defending Netflix or crunchy roll. They both suck ass

I don’t really get why people hate Crunchyroll.
Must of the complaints I’ve seen come from english audiences, but don’t really know What’s so bad in it. I watch it almost daily and the only awkward thing may be a typo in the subs ocassionally, but nothing that really breaks the experience.

Hey, but atleast anime is finally mainstream (I liked it better underrated)
